Aggiornamento sul credito: tanto ancora da fare
Credito e crescita sono la strada maestra su cui concordano tutti, persino i tedeschi del rigore. Ma nei fatti c’è una drammatica chiusura dei rubinetti. Ecco la situazione aggiornata
“Crescita a tutti i costi”, “l’imperativo della crescita” e altre espressioni simili come stretta creditizia o credi crunch sono ormai all’ordine del giorno su tutte le testate nazionali. Perchè per crescere serve anche il credito per nuovi investimenti per esempio. Alcuni paesi hanno fatto loro questa semplice regola e stanno cercando di venire incontro alla domanda di finanziamenti (vedi Germania e Stati Uniti ad esempio) e qualcuno, come l’Italia, in cui i rubinetti invece si stanno sempre più chiudendo.
Gli ultimi dati parlano chiaro: a marzo il credito a imprese e famiglie è fermo. Il tasso di crescita per le famiglie sui dodici mesi si è attestato al+ 2,2% contro un +2,7% tendenziale a febbraio; per quello dei prestiti alle società non finanziarie, invece, la crescita tendenziale è pari a zero contro un incremento pari a 0,9% fatto registrare a febbraio. Sommando questo dato di fatto al clamoroso ritardo dei pagamenti da parte della pubblica amministrazione ai suoi fornitori, la situazione diventa davvero drammatica.
«Le banche non hanno motivi strutturali per non dare più credito. Non sono certo saltate le loro reti commerciali dedicate alla sua erogazione», spiega un alto funzionario di un’istituzione finanziaria non bancaria. E, aggiungo io, hanno ricevuto una quantità importante di denaro dalla BCE a tassi davvero agevolati, soltanto che gli hanno utilizzati soprattutto per i loro bilanci.
Il nostro impegno continua perchè le banche si impegnino, non solo a parole, a elargire più credito a imprese e famiglie e a sostenere quindi l’ossatura del nostro sistema produttivo e sociale.
